Teachings of The Medicine WheelThe Medicine wheel is a Circle of Knowledge. It is the Universe and it is the individual. As above, so below - the greater is reflected in the lesser and the lesser in the greater. It is a path, a way to wholeness. It teaches of our connection to all things and it shows the way back to Centre, the way home.
Medicine means everything that heals, that brings wholeness, holyness. Your Medicine is your wisdom gained through life experience. Medicine is power over yourself and thus your ability to respond to life. Your medicine is what you ‘give-away’ to the world and what you contribute to the evolution of All-That-Is.
There are Four Directions - and the Centre makes five. Then there is the Above and the Below, and that makes seven - the ‘dream’ of the Creator-in-manifestation. The medicine wheel is a path towards feeling and understanding the many powers that create and affect life in the third dimension of material reality.
The Medicine Wheel teaches a profound way of knowledge, not a set of beliefs.
Expect a challenging and moving workshop which will affect how you ‘see’ - and therefore how you are in the world.
This workshop will be run by renowned practitioner Leo Rutherford. Leo holds an MA in Holistic Psychology, and is well-known for his shamanic work. “Shamanism is spiritual, ecological and psychological. It is the only path I have found in which nothing is left out – and it is the only path I have found which doesn’t however subtly, try to tell me something in me is put together wrong!” he says.

The Secret Powers of Your MindHow would you like to relieve your stress and improve how you function in every aspect of your daily life?
By discovering how to access and use your hidden (and sometimes just underused) brainpower, you can reawaken dormant thinking skills, and so brighten your life.
It is generally accepted that we use only a small part of our available brainpower. Also, during childhood we are taught to limit ourselves by exercising logic while suppressing intuition. Then, as we grow older, we are asked to be creative again, and expected to think outside the box.
This one-day workshop explores our thinking patterns and provides an opportunity to experience how we can retrieve unconscious knowledge and unlock the incredible power of the integrated mind.Facilitator Laura Dziaszyk of Spotlight on Management Ltd has adapted her business course so that it is appropriate – and fun! - for everyone.

Tree of Angels – Talk and WorkshopThis talk, and the powerful workshop that follows, introduce the Qaballah, a body of spiritual lore some 4,000 years old, and handed down to us through the Western Mystery Tradition. It also explores the Tree of Life, the symbol central to Qaballistic lore, and the 10 Archangels who live on it.
As well as being designed to help you become acquainted with, and work more deeply with, these angelic beings (who DO pack some punch, let me tell you), the two-day course also introduces you to the philosophy and wisdom of the real Qaballah – a spiritual system which espouses good spiritual principles, but doesn’t insist on anyone following it as though it were a religion.
Forget Madonna’s Qaballah – come and learn about the real thing!
Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd November 2008: £75 for the two days from 7.30 pm

Crackdown on lunar-fuelled crime
Police have investigated links between violence and a full moon
Extra police officers are to patrol the streets of Brighton on nights when there is a full moon.
It follows research by the Sussex force which concluded there was a rise in violent incidents when the moon was full - and also on paydays.Inspector Andy Parr said he compared crime statistics for Brighton and Hove with lunar graphs to discover the trend.
*****
If the above article caught your eye last year, it may have got you wondering whether there might be any truth in it.Well, that’s what this workshop, offered by academic psychologist Mary Hykel Hunt, sets out to prove.
So much more than an interesting foray into quaint Moon myths and legends, this workshop shows how the moon and its energies really do have impact on ALL life on the planet, including human, and how we can work with this impact to optimum effect in our lives.
Surprisingly, this information isn’t new. Many newspapers on the continent, for example, carry ‘moon’ information next to the weather report. And we’re not just talking moon phases; it’ll tell you the best time to cut your hair, for example, so that it doesn’t grow back too fast. And many gardeners already know the benefits that come from planting and harvesting by the moon.
But did you know that the best time to have surgery is when the moon is waning? Or that the best time to lay a wood floor is when the Moon is in Capricorn?
We’ll also be looking at other tools to work with, such as lunar numerology and lunar archetypes.
So forget full moons and werewolves. Come and learn some really useful lunar facts and methods, based on sound observation and scientific research.
Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st August 2008: 10am – 4.30pm: £68.00

Discover Brian Mayne’s Goal Mapping – the simple system for sustainable success
Whatever your dream, Goal Mapping™ can help you achieve it. Throughout recorded history, the most successful men and women have been those who’ve learnt to develop their natural goal-setting ability into a powerful skill for achievement.
Goal setting is a natural function of the brain. Making a decision triggers a subconscious process that transforms the decision into a deed. Learning the most effective way to set goals is the number one pre-requisite for success in any endeavour, for any individual, team, or organisation.
Most goal setting techniques require you to write lists of objectives. At best this is boring and at worst it’s ineffective as it only engages the word oriented left half of the brain. Goal Mapping uses pictures to set goals, involving the image dominated right half of the brain with the left side of the brain to create whole-brain activation. The system taps directly into the subconscious, which is continuously working 30,000 times harder than the conscious mind.
Whether you’re in the corporate world, a Sportsperson, in Education, or just want to improve your ability to achieve your dreams Goal Mapping will bring you incredible results.
My name is Marjorie Grant and as a Certified Practitioner, I now teach this technique in Workshops all over the country. This one-day workshop is focused on learning to steer change towards the direction of your desires through the process and technology of the unique whole-brain system, Goal Mapping. Learning to set and achieve objectives is the master skill of life as it is the skill that enables the achievement and learning of all other skills and objectives.
